Tricia Cox, Vice President of BHHS, had the distinct pleasure of presenting a check to Rachel Wavra, a valued club member and the current President of the Scaly Mountain Women’s Club (SMWC), during a recent gathering of the Berkshire team. Situated in Scaly Mountain, the Scaly Mountain Women’s Club (SMWC) operates as a registered 501c3 organization with approximately 90 dedicated members. Their primary focus revolves around generating funds for scholarships intended for local students within the Scaly Mountain/Sky Valley Fire District. Remarkably, since our establishment, we have successfully raised a substantial amount surpassing $500,000 through various fundraisers, including our renowned Pancake Breakfasts, Sweet Sensations, Tee Up & Wine Down, and most recently, Bingo events. The collective efforts of members and the generous support from the community has enabled them to make a significant impact on the educational pursuits of deserving students.
