Open right now: Sep 20–27 (8 nights), Oct 12–14, and Oct 25–28 for leaf season. Both October windows sit in the color window for the southern Appalachians.

Looking further: November and early December now take two-night stays Monday through Thursday — Nov 9–12 and Nov 16–22 and Nov 30 onward work for a midweek escape without burning a full week of vacation.

Christmas week (Dec 18–25) is open, five-night minimum, and the house comes decorated for the holidays down to the china.

Main house sleeps 14 across 4 bedrooms and a loft: 3 king suites, a bunk room the kids claim immediately, hot tub, four stone fireplaces, and a wifi-free game room (ping pong, foosball, billiards, corn hole).

You can hear Big Creek from every porch. Dog friendly. Add the carriage house when you need room for two families.

Fall dates are open in Highlands. 🍂🏔️

Lotts of Sky is our family home between Highlands and Cashiers, four miles from Main Street. September still has room — Sep 8–11, Sep 14–17, and a full week Sep 20–28 — and for leaf season we have Oct 12–15 and Oct 25–29. Color on the plateau usually turns through the middle and back half of October; both windows sit inside it.

Main house sleeps 14 across 4 bedrooms and a loft: 3 king suites, a bunk room built for kids, hot tub, four stone fireplaces, wrap-around porches, and a wifi-free game room with ping pong, foosball, billiards and corn hole. You can hear Big Creek from every porch. Dog friendly.

Whiteside Mountain, Glen Falls, Sunset Rock and Panthertown are all within about ten miles, so this is the base for a hiking week when the leaves are down or still turning.

Looking further out: November and early December now take two-night stays Monday through Thursday, so Nov 9–23 and Nov 30 on work for a midweek escape without burning a week of vacation. Lotts of Sky is our family home between Highlands and Cashiers, four miles from Main Street. The full estate (main house + carriage house) is open Dec 18 through Dec 26, which covers Christmas week. Five-night minimum over the holidays. New Year's week is now booked.
