Post from a happy customer was fun helping locate their deer especially being so close to the same Herd I normally hunt
Just wanted to follow up as promised in a post I put here Sunday but has since been deleted. I reached out to this group to inquire about local dog tracking or thermal drone services in order to help my son locate a deer that he arrowed near St. John, but was hard to track in part due to to Sunday’s rainy weather. Thanks again to the many who responded and thanks to the post I was contacted by gentleman and drone operator Dustin Zimmer from Hilbert and associated with Z World Trees on Hwy 57. He responded, was on sight very soon, and then located my son’s deer as well as several others including another wounded deer within less than 30 minutes of arrival. Unfortunately my son‘s deer had not yet expired, but fortunately we hadn’t chased it off with tracking dogs. Dustin returned to relocate and monitor the deer several times there after and was able to inform us once it had expired and we were able to go directly to it and recover it. Dustin’s fee was reasonable and he didn’t ask for additional funds even though he performed 5 very efficient searches in total. We did tip. With bow season rolling and gun season just around the corner, I wanted to promote his local service to other area hunters and as a thank you for helping Isaac Thiel recover his first bow deer and largest deer ever harvested and help create his own Calumet County Memory.
