Welcome Home, Adrian and Benjamin!

Newlyweds Adrian and Benjamin were referred to me by one of my favorite agents ever, Anna Woodland. Adrian's mother Anna and I met years ago when she was working in new construction in Bethany. I was so impressed with Anna's professionalism and ethics (and I still am!) and we stayed in touch.

Anna has been so kind to refer me to her family members over the years to help them buy in Portland metro. It's such an honor because she could literally choose ANY agent she has met along the way- and she knows many great agents.

Adrian and Benjamin were in the market to buy a new home on the east side. They were already renting there, and wanted to stay within a neighborhood with shops, restaurants and a fun vibe. They were interested primarily in older homes- as Adrian's family has a background in construction, so renovations and vision are in her DNA 🙂

They had their hearts broken a couple of times along the way. With the price point and areas they wanted, there was HEAVY competition. It is such a weird thing in this market to have certain neighborhoods have homes that go WAY over list price- in one case, Adrian and Benjamin were one of seven offers. I counseled them- do not pay more than your comfort level. If someone else wants it more, it's not meant to be.

And sure enough, they found a house that had come back on the market and was just what they were looking for. The trick was finding something that was in good condition but had some room for their finishing touches. Last I heard, they were already tearing apart the bathroom-- and that was the day after they moved in 🙂

What a joy it was to be on this journey with them. Congratulations to this truly lovely couple 🙂

Welcome Home, Brie and Andras!

Brie and Andras were referred to me via an insurance agent who knew them from our community gym. They lived in Bethany and needed more space after welcoming two seriously adorable kiddos and expanding their family.

Many months ago, I sat down with them to do a thorough buyer and seller consult. After speaking with Jessica Scolastico Loan Consultant - NMLS 1445621, they realized they could buy first, then sell- which turned out to be the thing we needed to compete.

They looked for months for the right fit; supply is so low in the neighborhoods they were targeting. Floorplan and condition were also important, as well as making sure the yard wasn’t going to be a full-time job for this busy family. But the thing we found was a non-negotiable, was a three-car garage.

There just aren’t that many homes that offer that amenity.

But… we found it.

This gorgeous home really checked all the boxes- and it seemed that it did for a lot of other folks, too- we ended up in multiple offers (yes! It still happens!).

It all ended up working out so beautifully- the agents on the other side were really lovely- and all closed without issue.

Now we get to focus on selling their Bethany house (more on that later! It’s got a three car garage!). I just love this family and I’m so happy for them 🙂

Welcome Home, Lois and Christine!

In a low inventory market, it can be challenging to find the PERFECT FIT, but in the case of Lois and her daughter, Christine- they absolutely did.

Lois is moving to Oregon from out-of-state to join Christine and her kiddos in what has become an increasingly common occurrence in real estate: multi-generational living.
