The ugly truth about Real Estate, one of the worst parts about the industry itself, the thing that I can't stand, is the Greed. There are some Realtors, and alot of property managers that I've worked with or come across that think the only way to do the job is to work against the other party to whom they are doing business with, like a rental company or a property manager who uses their power to legally rip people off, while morally and ethically screwing over the people whom live and work in the communities that they claim to serve. One of the reasons I'm in Real Estate and will forever stay in Real Estate is so I can help the people in my community get out from under the thumbs of the greedy slumlords being run by crooks and by the giant conglomerate property management companies that are out Here stealing and robbing from the customers they house and hiding behind the legal 25 page leases that they have people sign that's in lawyerise a language that isn't easily understood by the average person. If you or someone you know is wanting to buy or sell a house and you want to work with someone who values people over profit, I'm your gal. If you want to work with a Realtor who thinks that the only way to do their job is to get one over on the other side, get one up, who thinks the job is about the money 💰 and which side ends up with more is the winner, when really it's about the people in the transition not the people and their position, then I can tell you who to call, it just won't be me. I'm forever changing up the narrative and shaking up the greedy industry of real estate while I'm working to rehome my customers. It's important to me to support, to serve, to work with and be surrounded by people who are just good folks. I strive to be one of the good ones yall, the ones who have good hearts. Who do the right thing even when nobody is looking. Realtors are real people too. Maybe if Realtors didn't do such a bad job at consciously working to flip the narrative about the way the public views the Greed aspect in the real estate industry itself, then maybe we wouldn't have so many people who think it's okay to waste our time and have Realtors take them out to showings across town at the drop of a dime to show them multiple houses and then turn around and hire their friend Ashley from 8th grade who just got their Realtors license but wasn't able to show them the houses you did because they weren't available but it's all good because you make so much money anyways, right ? It's okay for them to have us do a job and then turn around and pay someone else for the job we did, simply because Realtors make so much money, right so it doesn't matter if they waste our time or not. How do you think it got to be that way, what other industry can you call upon someone to do a job and then have them do it and then not pay them? 🤔 Just makes your girl wonder sometimes, I like to help people yall. Sometimes I feel like I am helping and working really hard to do my best to be the Realtor that I know this community needs. Other times I feel defeated like I am not cut out to be in a industry that cares more about the profit then the person. Being a big hearted person who actually cares about the people they work with and the ones they serve, in a world and a industry that's been not about that in the past isn't always easy for your girl. Yall pray for me lol I'm obviously feeling some type of way, okay rant done.

Failure Friday, let's normalize life NOT being perfect! I'll start. One time when I was going to show an $850,000 house to a brand new client, I dropped the whole ball. Our showing was on a Sunday. Well it was supposed to be on a Sunday. But me being the dummy that I was that day, went to the house on a Saturday. I thought it was Sunday. So I text my clients the night before saying I'll see them in the morning, and they said OK! So me and clients went out to the country to this beautiful home 🏡 😍 we go and knock on the door because we notice the cars, the owner opens the door 🚪 and I tell him I'm here for the showing. Owner says the showings on Sunday, I said yea I know it's Sunday and he goes no it's Saturday. I was like wait, checked my phone sure enough it was Saturday. Looked at my clients and they were confused, started to feel the embarrassment set in with the confusion I'm sure I turned all red. Told the owners I apologized and would be back tomorrow. My client had brought his mother with him and his little cousins his mom was super cute petite elderly Asian lady and I felt so bad for having had wasted her time too! Ugh I remember going in the car parking down the street and crying calling my friend Gabriel and screaming of the embarrassment I just endured. It was right around the new year I remember. It turned out my clients didn't realize it was Saturday either they thought it was Sunday. I showed them the house the next day they didn't buy it but ultimately showed them 4 more houses and still am in contact with them today. They haven't bought or sold with me and idk that they ever will now. I thought I would never recover from that moment. It was one of the biggest fails I had in my real estate career. But you better believe I will never ever again show up on a Saturday when it's supposed to be a Sunday. Those L's are hard man. Taking them and bouncing back from them isn't easy. But like the great poet Tupac Shakur once said "Life goes on". Life does go on and the sting from the pain of the fail eventually fades away. The memory of it still there to keep me in check but not to keep me bound. Failure is a part of life yall. Own it, let go and grow! Let me hear your epic fails in the comments below if you appreciate 🙏 this post and feel too like we can learn from our failures
