Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and hope.

At Rosewood Park, we believe every story matters. Many of our residents have witnessed remarkable moments in history, and days like today remind us of the importance of listening, learning, and sharing those stories across generations.

As we reflect on the meaning of freedom and equality, we celebrate the strength, perseverance, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our nation's history.

What a fun day at Rosewood! ❤️

Today we welcomed our friends from Cornell Estates for a Bean Bag Baseball Tournament, and let me tell you—we laughed, cheered, and had the BEST time together!

There was some serious team spirit, lots of friendly competition, and even more smiles. We loved meeting new friends, and the fun didn't stop when the game ended—they stayed and joined us for dinner too.

Days like this remind us that it's never too late to make new friends and create great memories. ❤️⚾️

Another springtime clutch of ducklings made our Independent Courtyard their home and we couldn't have been happier about it! We watched them grow from egg to adults; feeding, caring, assisting, watching, and loving them along the way.

Thank you to the residents and staff members that kept them safe, fed, and loved while they were here ❤️❤️❤️

Its exciting and sad to see them go - we wish them a good life and hope they return to start a family of their own next year!! We held a little competition to see who could guess their departure day - and we awarded 9 candy bars!!

Our Craft n' Chat project this week was to make Flower Seed Bombs!

They loved getting their hands dirty and were also a little confused with the "ugly" end result.

We ended up with tons of wild flower seed bombs to share with friends and family! We have extras if you'd like one, just ask Brooke or Lainey!

We love seeing our residents out and about in our community - say hello to Miss Elizabeth - and she LOVES the Hillsboro Air Show!!

We loved seeing and hearing the jets and planes as they flew over and around our building for the weekend of the show. It's one of the ways we know summer is almost here....we are getting excited for the beautiful Oregon summer days coming our way!!

Cooking Chaos to make Toblerone Cookies brought a big crowd!!

One of our resident Swiss Queens, Miss Joanne Odermott shared her knowledge and stories about growing up eating Toblerone candy bars at Swiss festivals! She said when she was small you could buy one for .29 cents, today they are $2.99!!

We all learned the proper way to break them apart to get even breakage and enjoyed all the tasting required when making cookie dough!

We love cooking chaotically together each week ❤️

We had a great time at the Hillsboro Senior Center Health Fair today! 😊

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, and learn more about life at Rosewood Senior Living. We loved meeting local seniors, families, and community members and sharing what makes our community so special.

Random musical visits are one of our favorite things!!

The choir dorector at the high school called and asked if they could come right now to give us a concert!! How could I say no??

We hurried and changed the lobby to a performance hall and enjoyed some live music with our coffee.....we loved it!
