We continue to have throughout the island a tremendous demand for property both homes and villas but especially the ocean front and ocean oriented homes. This is due to the fact of many families desiring to be living here a good part of the year, the comfort in knowing that they can do business from afar, the motivation to be coming to our much less populated Lowcountry and families realizing that investing in real estate long term is becoming more popular. Clearly the Lowcountry is seeing a true MIGRATION where people from all over the country are relocating here and not just purchasing as second homes. Our biggest challenge now is reduced inventory of all properties throughout the island. My strong advice is when you find a property that you like please act on it or it will be sold to someone else. We are experiencing the best Fall resort season in years. Golf, tennis and beach activities have certainly added to this continued success and wide exposure. All indicators point to a continuation of strong rentals and amazing demand for all real estate homes and villas. I have never seen in over 30 years such a lack of inventory throughout the island! Many people have asked me if these trends will continue and I now believe that this sales surge will certainly continue throughout the rest of the year.
