Today I watched and listened to just a few of the many people whose lives Jim touched paid tribute to him, Lin, their lives & the impact they have made on many. The story was different but the message the same. He was my BEST friend - he was MY brother. Never “like” a brother- but a true brother. Only a few of us are lucky enough to have Jim’s in our lives. Like many before me have said- we will cherish & honor your memory by living life to our best ability the way you did. Every stranger a friend, every friend - family. We will not judge others, but challenge them to be true to themselves. We will find meaning in our lives by getting out of our comfort zones. Leave people we meet BETTER then we met them - and always find a way to better ourselves. To say you will be missed is an enormous understatement. But instead of a void- you somehow leave behind hope & courage. But that’s just how you rolled Jim - always secretly lifting us all up. As Jasper & Cassidy said - you left behind a sea of family by your very own nature. We will all do our best to keep this extended family in their lives forever. God speed to the next adventure my sweet friend- and give my mom a big hug for me. I’m making the manhattan recipe you sent me in honor of you tonight. 2 oz. Rye 1 oz. Vermouth 1/2 Benedictine and 2 dashes of bitters. Here is to you my friend - never farewell- but until we meet again. 🥃
