This month I’m featuring The Retreat in Hobe Sound, where I recently reviewed 2026 closed sales through May 28.

24 homes sold in The Retreat through May 28, 2026.

Median sale price by floor plan:
Capri – 2 Bedroom Villa: $455,000
Oakmont – 3 Bedroom Home: $595,200
Carlyle – 4 Bedroom Home: $774,000

As a Retreat resident and Realtor with The Keyes Company, I track the local sales activity closely. I look at more than just the sale price — floor plan, condition, upgrades, location, pool features, and buyer demand all matter.

The broader Hobe Sound market is also showing signs of adjustment. According to the April 2026 local market report, Hobe Sound single-family median sale prices were down compared with April 2025, and year-to-date prices were slightly lower as well.

With some Florida insurance carriers beginning to reduce rates and proposed property tax relief now being discussed statewide, 2026 may create opportunities for buyers and sellers who understand the market.

I purchased my Florida home in 2007 as an investor, and I’ve watched this market go through many changes. That experience helps me guide clients with practical, local insight.
