Two visitors in my backyard this morning! 🦌🦌

My camera caught these two wandering through at 7:43 a.m.

It’s almost October, and growing up in Michigan, I remember this being about the time the deer breeding season started getting underway. That usually meant the bucks started moving around more and you never knew what you might see.

So of course I had to look up whether the same thing happens here in Florida.

Florida is a little more complicated — deer breeding dates vary dramatically across the state — but here around the Treasure Coast, late September and October can definitely be an active time.
Which means I’ll be watching this camera a little more closely over the next few weeks. 👀

Come on, big bucks. I know you’re out there somewhere! 😂🦌

One of the many things I love about living in Hobe Sound. You just never know who is going to stroll through the backyard.
