This post comes with a heavy heart. There was so much love and not enough time.
Diane Mary Ristagno of Vero Beach, FL passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 28 after a six-month battle with leukemia, which she faced with strength so she could have more time with her family and friends.
Originally from Dorchester, MA, Diane adored - and was deeply adored by - her husband, her three children, and her seven grandchildren. She had a way of making sure everyone had fun, even in tough moments. She let people be exactly who they wanted to be, never putting pressure on anyone to be anything else. And once she noticed you liked something, the next time you showed up, there would be plenty of it.
Diane is survived by her husband, Robert, with whom she celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary last year on June 7 (6/7! 6/7!); her children, Robert Jr., Andrea, and James; and her grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Helena, Lexi, Olivia, Emilia, and Dominic.
A celebration of life will be held in Vero Beach, FL on August 1. Details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the VNA Hospice House of Vero Beach in Diane’s name (she never liked flowers anyway).
