Do you have something you do everyday that makes you feel like you accomplished something? I have two! I always make my bed and I get dressed for the kind of day I want to have.
Confession time, in the beginning of this “stay-at-home” era, I leaned in HARD in to the stay at home uniform. You know...leggings, a sweatshirt and hair in a messy bun. After a couple of weeks, I realized how incredibly unproductive I’d been. Sometimes it’s okay to not be productive, but I had personal goals and I wasn’t going to meet them while I had a coffee mug permanently attached to my hand.
I made the decision to get up and get “ready” everyday. That didn’t always mean a business suit, but I at least got myself to a point that felt good to me. Guess what? I started checking things off my to-do list. Goals started being met. And the best part was how much better I felt!
Have you ever heard the saying, “Dress for the job you want?” Well whoever said it knew what they were talking about. So get up. Get dressed and tackle your day. If you’re in my line of business, you might just get a showing request with 20 minutes notice so you better be ready 😂
