The Silver River, home to manatees, monkies and American alligators. Paddling this beautiful waterway is always worth it. Weekday mornings make room for quiet reflection and incredible sightings. If you can only do 1 thing while visiting, this place has something for everyone. .

Welcome to Hog Valley, Florida. My cabin overlooks the beautiful Ocklawaha River, which it once sat on!

Before the Rodman Dam, my little cabin ( formerly, the late Miss Evelyn's ) sat streamside of Riversite Spring, about 60 yards down the hill from where it sits now. The Army Corp of Engineers moved it to it's current spot while working on the Cross Florida Barge Canal. The original plat is now protected and part of the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway.

The slow paced area is a welcome retreat from town life.
