Check out this story, the captain is my friend and neighbor Terry Johns, he is a Coast Guard Captain in Cape Coral/Ft Myers.

Ellie, the dog, was rescued about a mile-and-a-half offshore from the beach in Fort Myers, Florida, by the 'Sanibel Harbor Princess' dinner crew. She was reunited with her owners after they saw her on the local news.
