Difficult clients will teach you more than any business course ever could. They teach you where your boundaries are, which clauses are missing from your contract, why timelines need to be crystal clear and exactly how many times you should never say “sure, no problem” in one email.

Every tough project usually ends with a contract edit, a stronger process and a promise to yourself: “I’ll never do THAT again!”

But the good clients? They’re the reason we stay in business.

They trust the process, respect the work, communicate well, and remind you why you started this business in the first place. The difficult ones sharpen you and increase your espresso martini tolerance, but the great ones sustain you.

I got a whole chapter on the emotional side of the job and burnout is real. Catching up on questions and I found ones that relate!

One of the hardest realities is that burnout usually builds slowly. Many home stagers do not recognize it until they become emotionally detached from projects, chronically overwhelmed, physically depleted, or begin resenting clients and the business itself.

I usually feel the burnout when Fall market hits… But that’s just me, personally!
