I get asked on a daily basis about why I think the market in NH is not going to go down. My answer is always supply and demand. We don't build enough housing to keep up with demand. I saw this quote today highlighting this fact.
"Based on estimated population growth, almost 60,000 new housing units are needed between 2020 and 2030; nearly 90,000 units are needed between 2020 and 2040. This includes the state’s current housing shortage of over 23,500 units needed to stabilize the housing supply."
In NH we are currently building around 5,000 houses per year. The lack of housing in NH is going to continue to get worse over the decade and beyond.
