I turned on the marketing yesterday for a nice two bedroom we have in Holt priced at market rates for the area. I starting receiving leads last evening and responded to them. I received three more this morning and did the same. I also follow up on the email response with a text message to the interested parties. From that I received this text reply - "Okay, your asking for a whole lot during a pandemic. Have a nice day." Wanting to start a contest for the best snarky reply given the Eviction Moratorium, the EDP funding, the CERA funding, the closed courts, the lack of contractors, the expense of materials, et al but cooler heads prevailed and now I am only venting about it.

We are signing three leases today. The caliber of our tenants are very high these days. We had over 60 inquiries and 11 applications for these units. What is turnover like for you?

This is not going to end well...

We are back again, same day in fact as the mattress guy. THIS guy is the same dude who Debbie CAUGHT red handed at our Alpha Street dumpster and we got his license plate number! At least he should have changed his hair or his beard or his truck...Oh well. No one comes to me BEFORE they commit their crimes so how can I help them!?!

I took a slow walk around my buildings this last week. I need some Spring cleaning...in the Winter! My bad. All my storage rooms look like my garage used to! I am going to make a pitch later this week for some larger work that we have in mind for our buildings as well. I am gearing up for 2021 and hope you are as well. Maybe we start a support group!

Snow? C’mon, it is only the 25th of December. Happy and sad to see my lots with salt on them today. Happy because clearly my plow guy is on top of things and my tenants love me for it. Sad, because I am fairly certain the contract said salt is NOT free.

Me: Do you have a criminal background that includes any violent felonies?
Prospective Tenant: That is what I was charged with, but we were able to plea it down...
..glad he was a smoker.
