Inspiration picture sent by a friend. This one might be the most beautiful green kitchen ever built. I thought I wanted black cabinet hardware, but gold looks so perfect with green, I am rethinking that decision. The construction of the cabinets is so exquisite, I might replicate it down to the last detail.

Another bathroom from the million dollar house. (Yes, there were so SO many bathrooms). I really like the idea of using wallpaper in a small powder room. But NOT this wallpaper. And especially not with that sink. This combination is a great big NOPE from me. It was the only room in the house that was decorated with something less than impeccable taste.

Here's another bathroom from the million dollar house. It's lovely in every way. Totally unobtrusive. Maybe a bit TOO unobtrusive for me. Sort of yawn inducing in my opinion. So...let's move on to the bathroom, shall we? Here is one from the million dollar house. This kind of tile is the latest "thing" in bathroom design. But the hubby hates it because he thinks the tiles look "random" because the veining is chopped up and doesn't have a proper flow. Daughter Madalene says in ten years this will scream "You decorated your house in 2023!" But personally, I like it. What about you?

I attended an Open House for a multi-million dollar new build in Shreveport. I wanted design inspiration and knew I could find it there. In the kitchen they used the bold patterned countertops that I am currently loving, but their choices for cabinet colors were much softer than stark black and white. I have to admit that greens and beiges are far more soothing. And maybe, in the long run, that's what a kitchen needs. What do you think?

I recently had a thought: "I would like to build a new house." Some place spacious and beautiful, where we could live out the rest of our days in comfort and in peace. I shared this thought with my husband, whose desires aligned with my own. And thus, my thought turned into our plans. We purchased this lovely piece of property, just at the edge of town, where there is plenty of room to breath, but not so far as to be inconvenient.

Now let the adventure begin! You are invited to come along with us as we embark upon this journey. It will be a long one, and filled with both thrills and mishaps I am sure.
