🎃 The Do’s & Don’ts of Pumpkin Carving 🎃

1. Grab your free. BHamm & Co. pumpkin & carving kit from us at the this Friday 10/27 from 4-8pm.

2. Give your pumpkin a bath. To help keep your pumpkin fresh, give it a quick wash and thorough dry.

3. Carve from the bottom, not the top. This help to keep the top & sides from caving in.

4. Scoop all of the pulp (and then some).
You can use a hand mixer to thoroughly clean out your pumpkin.

5. Sketch your design with a red dry erase marker.

6. Start with simple, rough cuts. If you get the big pieces of pumpkin out of the way first, you can go back and clean up the edges of your design later.

7. Use your scraps creatively.

8. Seal the edges. Spread petroleum jelly on the cut edges to seal in moisture, which helps make your carved pumpkin last.

9. Sprinkle cinnamon inside the top of your carved creation. When you light the candle, your jack-o'-lantern will smell like a pumpkin pie. Yum.

10. Light it up!
