Today we’re celebrating National Ice Cream Pie Day with a sweet treat straight from Mrs. Dixon’s kitchen. If you’ve never made an ice cream pie before, this one is simple, nostalgic, and perfect for these hot August days.
Mrs. Dixon’s Ice Cream Pie Recipe
Crust:

2 cups crushed Oreos or graham crackers

5 tbsp melted butter
Press into a pie dish and freeze for 15 minutes.

Filling:

1 quart softened ice cream (any flavor you love)
Spread evenly over the crust and freeze for 1 hour.

Topping:

Whipped cream

Chocolate drizzle, caramel, nuts, or fresh berries
Add your toppings and freeze again until firm.

Slice, serve, and enjoy a little moment of sweetness today.
