How beautiful, first-what a blessing for any and all non-profits in this community!! Anyone will be so blessed. We have had our name thrown in the pot and we want to clarify- the shelter is operated under the non-profit, Basics United Homeless Outreach. In nominating, it would need to be B.A.S.I.C.S. United. What a beautiful blessing to be nominated, thank you to the sweet individuals thinking of us and all the unhoused/not securely housed neighbors we work with daily. Whoever is blessed with this wonderful gift, surely it will be amazing for the community. If you’d like to hop over and nominate B.A.S.I.C.S. We are ramping up to tackle what we’re being told will be an extremely cold and storm filled season ahead. Although the temps outside are deceiving, we know our work starts now to be prepared. This will be an all hands on deck kind of season, from volunteers to food sponsors to donations and daily essentials, we need you now Citrus County, because we know, it’s coming! Last week we shared about Inverness Lions Club making these amazing care kits! Our friend TupperwareTara Ballantyne dropped by with them and some additional supplies for us this week!!!
