We need speed bumps and traffic-calming measures in Makakilo before another tragedy happens.

This is not the first accident in our neighborhood. Drivers are regularly speeding through our streets, and many residents have witnessed vehicles traveling far above the posted speed limit. Last year, a pedestrian lost their life while crossing the street, yet the speeding continues.

Our community deserves safer roads for families, children, pedestrians, and residents. We are calling on the City and County of Honolulu to conduct a traffic study and consider installing speed bumps, speed tables, additional crosswalk safety measures, and increased traffic enforcement in high-risk areas.

Please support this petition and help us make Makakilo safer before another preventable accident occurs.
