It has been one year without my love, David.
One year of missing him beside me, and one year of smiling through the stories that still carry his spirit.
One year of “he would have loved this,” and one year of finding the strength to say, “I can do this.”

David was the love of my life. Not a moment passes that I don’t feel him near like a gentle trade wind, like the ocean that never leaves the shore.
Sometimes I hear his laughter in the breeze, sometimes I feel his arm around me when I’m quiet and missing him most.

I miss him every day his humor, his music, his kindness, his friendship, and the way he loved so deeply and unconditionally.
