Make every day the day after New Year's Day. New beginnings happen every moment. Every moment gives us a chance to do better and be better. Learn from challenges, mistakes and losses. Find gratitude and set a plan to move forward without regret.

If you are determined to get to a healthier weight I’m going to share the best advice I ever received (from my doc). “It’s not a race, it’s for the rest of your life. I’d be happy if you lost a pound a month consistently.” That was 52 pounds ago.

Facebookʻs algorithm seems to prove the leadership quote that "WHAT YOU FOCUS ON EXPANDS>"

It seems that when we post, like and read negative posts, we are fed more negative posts on our Facebook feed. When we post positive, we see positive posts on our feed.

Letʻs see what happens with our happiness, perspective, grace and gratitude by sharing the best we have to offer. Thoughts?

Sharing a feel good moment in my Property Management business. When Kelvin Rasmussen and I decided to take on Property Management, we made some specific commitments and one was to treat both tenants and owners with the respect and service that they deserve as humans. We believe that home is a sacred and profound space whether you own or rent. So, I panicked a little when rather new tenants said "we don't want to go around you and claim ESA or Service animal or not ask for permission, but we want to adopt a dog." Anxiety that someone might be disappointed or I might be blamed for damage and knowing my own love of animals. I checked the association rules and intake notes of my owners. Made sure tenants can get insurance. Then, I went to meet the potential adoptee (Bella) at the Hawaiian Humane Society before asking the owners for permission. What a sweet, sad girl and non-reactive girl who has already been through two failed homes. To my delight, my owners said, "Please be sure to tell them we are so happy for them. YES!!" Look at the happiness in those faces. All three.

I love what I do!

As a people, we have come through a lot in the last few years (COVID, civil unrest, political angst, etc.) Simultaneously, my little Ohana was going through unspeakable difficulty and loss. In that experience, something in my gut told me that I needed to do something to contribute to healing and positive growth in the World. And that while I may not make much of a difference, if millions of people join the cause, we change the World.

From that, the concept of "The Aloha Virus" was born amongst discussions with me and my life-saving friend, Chuck Miller.

Some of you have been invited to like the page. I hope you'll join us in spirit and actions. Here's the thought:

In the Hawaiian language, "Aloha" is an expression used in modern times to greet and convey love, compassion, mercy, peace, kindness, and even gratitude.

Scholars of ʻOlelo Hawaii (the Hawaiian Language) explain the terms derivation differently, and not all agree.

With great reverence, the advocates of "the Aloha Virus" CHOOSE it to mean that we "share breath" or "share life." We commit to be aware what we breathe a little bit of ourselves into every encounter we have with others; be they family, friends, strangers, etc.

We commit to create a ripple effect of compassion, mercy, gratitude, peace and kindness across the World. Please join us in spreading "the Aloha Virus."

When this day ends, will you have consciously left a positive mark on the World in some way?

40 years of being licensed and 38 years as a full-time real estate agent/broker/manager...Helped buyers and sellers with probably 500+ homes and many thousands overseeing agents as a Managing Broker/BIC/Coach. Yesterday, first ever sign goes in the ground for a Company I own. Chicken skin.

Interesting phenomenon.

Curious on your thoughts from my friends and associates inside and outside my real estate industry.

Lately I have been seeing a lot of quite a few posts and invitations offering to coach, teach and train real estate agents. These are being offered by:

1) Mortgage Brokers/Loan Officers, and
2)Coaches that have never had a license or worked with a buyer or seller. (coached in other professions including loan officers)

Am I missing something?
