Most people don't know this about me, but when I was in my twenties I was bequeathed a Hawaiian name given by my sister, Donna, who consulted with her husband's grandmother, a Hawaiian kupuna. The story behind the name is that at the time I was a flight attendant for Continental Airlines flying to the US continent and also international flights, mostly down under to Australia and New Zealand. My sis often missed me and thought about my life flying all over the world. She used the analogy of a star in the sky since i was often in airplanes in the sky. After receiving the Hawaiian name from Nathan Aweau's grandma, my sister Donna wrote this poem as a special birthday gift to me and framed it. It is one of my most cherished gifts and I'll always be grateful to my sis for her love and thoughtful gesture in giving me this special Hawaiian name for my birthday. The name gifted to me is, "Ka Hoku o Ku'u Pu'uwai" , which means "Star of my Heart" .... and for short, "Hoku". Love you sis. I Love my Hawaiian name. Aloha Pumehana.

I was a guest at the Ward Village Summer Splash event at the IBM building sales gallery. It was a lovely evening of delicious food, wine, cocktails and lots of catching up with Realtor colleagues. Mahalo nui to Bonnie Wedemeyer, Rob Young, and the Ward Village sales team for hosting a wonderful evening. The DJ was also spinning some of my favorite music. 🔑🏠
