The greatest test of a company isn't when everything goes according to plan. It's how it responds when nothing does.

The 2020s brought challenges no one could have predicted. A global pandemic disrupted supply chains, labor shortages affected schedules, and communities across Hawaiʻi faced unimaginable loss.

Through it all, Armstrong Builders remained focused on what mattered most: supporting its people, communicating openly, and finding solutions together.

Projects continued. Teams adapted. Safety remained a priority. While the world around us changed, the values that had guided Armstrong Builders for decades never did.

Set on 13 acres alongside the Wailea Blue Golf Course, Laʻi Loa was thoughtfully designed to make the most of its Maui setting.

The community includes 75 residences across 15 four-story buildings, terraced toward the ocean and featuring expansive sliding glass doors that emphasize indoor-outdoor living. An amenity center with a pool, spa, and fitness center adds to the experience, while underground parking and additional storage bring functionality to each building.

As Armstrong Builders grew, so did the people leading it.

Throughout the 2010s, experienced leaders mentored the next generation of project managers, superintendents, engineers, architects, and support staff, creating a culture where responsibility was earned through experience and accountability.

As leadership continued to evolve, Marc Putman strengthened construction operations while David Miyasaki helped shape the company's design leadership, reinforcing the close collaboration between design and construction that continues today.

Across every office and job site, the goal remained the same: support one another, take pride in the work, and never stop learning.

By the end of the decade, Armstrong Builders was defined not only by the projects it delivered, but by the strength of its people and the consistency of its values.
