From planning for “someday” to officially holding the keys to their first HOME. 🥹🔑

A whole year of conversations, planning, patience and waiting for the right opportunity led to this moment.

And now it’s officially theirs 🏡🤍

What makes me happiest about this one isn’t just that they became first-time homeowners. it’s that they found a home in a neighborhood they already wanted to be in, with so much potential to make it completely their own.

They already have plans for renovations, new appliances, and putting their own design style into every room… and I cannot WAIT to see the before & afters. 😂

A year ago, we started planning. NOW they signed for their first HOME. 🥹🔑

These two reached out to me about a year ago with a goal of becoming homeowners. We stayed in touch, talked through their options, and waited for an opportunity that actually made sense.

Then one finally showed up right in one of their target neighborhoods. 🏡

Because we’d already done the planning beforehand, we were able to move quickly when it mattered.

And I’m SO excited about how this one came together:

C’s home search took us all over, from exploring Koa Ridge and reserving a new construction 1-bedroom, to ultimately realizing that staying in Honolulu close to her parents was what mattered most.

5 things I DON’T do as a Hawaiʻi Realtor 👀🏡

Buying a home in Hawaiʻi is already a BIG decision, you don’t need someone making you feel pressured on top of it.

My job isn’t to convince you that every house is the one.

It’s to help you understand the numbers, look at the whole cost of homeownership, point out things you may not have noticed, and give you the information you need to make a decision you actually feel good about.

Sometimes that means we’re writing an offer.

Sometimes that means I tell you, “I don’t think this one makes sense for you.” 😂

Especially for my first-time homebuyers, I’d much rather help you buy a home that fits your life and financial comfort level than simply focus on the maximum you can qualify for.
