In a small community like Crescent City, Del Norte County California, you tend to help EVERYONE who wants to BUY or SELL their property:
1. Homes - every type in a wide variety of locations. What we consider a "new" home is probably about ten years old. Many homes date back to the 1930s, many have wells and septic systems, and some dry rot is the norm. We have manufactured and mobile homes. 2. Commercial - if it's a business, usually these include the land. There are a lot of vacant commercial pieces of land for sale with nothing at all on them, or where the buildings have been torn down. The last few years were brutal on certain smaller businesses since Home Depot and Walmart have come to town. Few businesses-only get sold. On the other hand, new businesses including restaurants have sprung up all over town. 3. Residential vacant Land - we have a lot of infill opportunity in Crescent City, and there are a lot of high density pieces of land for sale. I have a great one listed, almost 17 acres www.crescentcitydevelopment.com The other type of land which has sold well are the view lots such as www.smithriverland.com People invested in those during the early 2000s and paid quite a bit of money for them; they were hoping to build their dream home and retire to them. However, many owners find that they need to sell these, and some are available at at exceptional prices.
