The Hoosick Falls Kiwanis Club held its annual baby shower. We hold this every year in January and we invite both SVMC and the birthing center in Bennington to accept our gifts. There’s a lot of people in our neighborhoods that go to have children at the hospital and don’t have clothing or blankets to take them home. So what the Kiwanis club does is supply the both groups with infant clothes, newborn clothes, receiving blankets, sweaters, hats, and many other items.
One of our members, Denise Martin , actually sends up over 30 receiving blankets that she makes during the year
Many of our members and their families that are not members donate graciously to this cause
