For those of you who don't know... I am a teacher. I have taught construction and geometry together in high school which was an amazing experience, but I am back at Rocky Ridge Elementary where I started my career. I have the privilege of working with families that have students with unique and special needs. This job has many names, instructional support, special education, exceptional education, sped, but whatever you want to call it, I'm the one that finds a way for all students to access the curriculum regardless of their cognitive levels, I also support their social and emotional needs. Its something I love to do and I feel is my gift from God. I have a knack for truly understanding each students individual needs and addressing those needs across the school setting. I have a TeachersPayTeachers store where I sell a lot of lessons in math, science and social studies that have multiple levels of learning access. If you are teaching 4th grade science I have a fossil unit that can allow students on 1st grade to 4th grade academic levels participate along side their typical peers. Not being different, not feeling behind, not seeing everyone else participating while they are lost is all they really want... It's all anyone really wants!
