She builds through service.

Alicia Huey is the Founder & President of AGH Homes, Inc., a custom home builder in the Birmingham area.

Alicia has been a proud PWB member for more than 20 years, serving as Local PWB Chair, GBAHB President, NAHB PWB Chair, and 2023 NAHB Chairman. She is also an NAHB Senior Life Director, GBAHB board member, Honorary HBAA Past President, and Habitat for Humanity board member.

For more than 15 years, Alicia has participated in Habitat for Humanity’s Builder Blitz, reflecting her commitment to giving back through the building industry.

Outside of work and service, Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband, Don, family and friends, being outdoors, and their newly adopted pup, Logan. 🐾

We’re proud to celebrate a woman whose decades of leadership and service continue to make an impact on our industry and our community.

Jordan Burdette is a Realtor & Qualifying Broker with Steel City Realty Group at Keller Williams. She also serves as the 1st Vice Chair of our local Professional Women in Building council.

Being part of the home building industry allows Jordan to play a role in shaping communities, which she describes as both exciting and rewarding. She joined GBAHB and PWB three years ago to learn, give back, and surround herself with like-minded professionals who share her passion. 💕

Thank you, Alicia Huey, for representing our association on so many levels! We are incredibly proud of you and all that you do for our industry and our association!

In honor of Professional Women in Building Week, this week’s throwback is to 2023, when Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders Past President Alicia Huey was installed as the Chairman of the National Association of Home Builders.

Alicia was the second member in the HBAA’s 70-year history to hold the position of NAHB Chairman. Among her many roles leading up to her term as NAHB Chairman was serving as Chair for the Professional Women in Building Council at the local, state, and national levels. We are proud to have had her represent Alabama on the national stage, from participating in numerous Home Builders Association events across the country to testifying before Congress on vital issues impacting the homebuilding industry and homeownership.

We thank Alicia for her continued leadership and commitment to the HBAA and for the ways that she has encouraged her fellow members to get involved and engaged at all levels of our federation!
