Standing beside me here is my friend and client, Cullenโa retired officer with the Birmingham Police Department. For more than a decade, Cullen served on a specialized task force focused on combating violent crime and gun violence. He answered the call every day, putting himself in harmโs way to protect people he may never meet.
Just one day before his 36th birthday, Cullen was seriously injured in the line of dutyโshot multiple times while serving his community. His life, and the path ahead of him, changed forever in an instant.
I just had the privilege of helping Cullen close on a home. It was more than a real estate transactionโit was an honor. An honor to serve a man who has already given so much of himself for the safety of others.
Cullenโs courage, resilience, and quiet strength are a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by so many in law enforcement. I am deeply grateful for him, and for every officer who chooses service to others.
Thank you, Cullen. And thank you to all who wear the badge.
โญ๏ธI couldnโt do it alone, special thanks to the amazing staff of South Oak Title & to my mentor and partner, M. "Peggy" Lucas with EXP Realty.
