‼️SHARING THIS FOR OUR TENANTS‼️
With these hot temperatures, your HVAC system is working overtime! ☀️
Here are a few simple things you can do to help keep it running efficiently
•Change your air filter — A dirty filter makes your system work much harder. Check it regularly and replace it when needed.
•Keep the outdoor unit clear — Remove grass, leaves, weeds and debris from around your condenser. Give it plenty of room to breathe!
•Don’t turn the thermostat way down — Setting it to 65° when it’s 95° outside won’t necessarily cool your home faster and can put unnecessary strain on your system.
•Close blinds and curtains — Especially on sunny windows. Keeping that heat out helps your A/C keep up.
•Check your vents — Make sure supply and return vents aren’t blocked by furniture, rugs or other items.
•Use ceiling fans — They help circulate cool air and can make the room feel more comfortable without lowering the thermostat.
•Give your HVAC a break when you can — Avoid running the oven or other heat-producing appliances during the hottest part of the day.
