Giving a huge shout out to my sellers for their patience on this one!! Selling a home isn’t just posting pics online and setting up showings- sometimes you gotta weather some pretty big storms to get a property to the closing table 😅

My sweet sellers called me because they got a job offer out of town and had to move. So we went through the listing details, they prepped the house, and we were ready for an offer! But this market was not exactly on their side. After an agent open house, two public open houses, a giveaway, and tons of marketing across every platform you can imagine- we finally got an offer 😍

And then the storm came. Negotiating closing costs felt like an uphill battle, and then the communication on home inspection (and just about everything else) was a mess, a radon company showed up out of nowhere, and when we finally got our home inspection results back (which were very minor repairs) the buyers might as well have considered the house condemned 🙃 This contract very clearly fell through, and my sellers were very upset- rightfully so.

But they didn’t give up- we continued to market and got another offer at full price! This time, the communication was great, all the buyers asked for on the home inspection were new lightbulbs 🤯, and their agent was so easy to work with. At one point I thought, “surely this isn’t going to be this simple?!” But it was.
My sellers were able to move and have peace of mind throughout this transaction, and I am so grateful to everyone who played a part in making this seamless. Thank you to Karla Mullen, the buyers, Lincoln Foster and Hannah Tomberlin, and again to my sweet sellers for all that you did to ensure your home sold❤️🏡🏡
