What a wonderful way to close out another fantastic scallop season in Horseshoe Beach, Florida!
Labor Day weekend gave us one more reason to slow down, enjoy our little coastal community, and spend time with friends, family and neighbors as another busy summer season came to an end.
And what a scallop season it was!
All summer long, we watched boats head out early in search of scallops, families make memories on the water, and visitors return to Horseshoe Beach year after year to enjoy a place that means so much to so many.
Labor Day Fun in Horseshoe Beach
Labor Day weekend brought a little extra fun to town with complimentary face painting, our community parade led by the Horseshoe Beach Volunteer Fire Department, and an evening of music and an ’80s throwback at Sam’s Plaza. 🚒🎨

The Hoard Culture brought the Rock N Roll and kept the music going, while SB07 — Sam Bryan took the mic, singing and entertaining the crowd. Add in some ’80s outfits, friends, neighbors and plenty of laughter, and it made for a fun evening right here in Horseshoe Beach. 🎤
Scallop Season May Be Over, But Horseshoe Beach Isn't
As scallop season comes to a close, Horseshoe Beach begins settling back into that slower pace of life so many of us love.
The boats are still here. The fish are still biting. 🎣 The sunsets are still beautiful. And there’s probably a porch somewhere with an empty chair waiting for you.
Maybe that’s part of what makes Horseshoe Beach so special.
It’s not about being fancy or fast-paced. It’s about days on the Gulf, familiar faces, Southern hospitality, making memories and enjoying a place where life can feel just a little simpler.
