Ughhh

Thick smoke in Hot Springs from prescribed burns. The smoke is closer to the ground due to an inversion, which means the smoke is trapped near the ground and can't rise into the atmosphere. The sun appears bright red/pink due to light scattering through the smoke. Blue, purple, and green colored light has a short wavelength, and gets scattered out. Red and orange light have a long wavelength, so it isn't scattered out and appears vividly.

**UPDATE 1/28/26**
We drove around today and hubby says the sideroads in the village are still too dangerous to travel on. Even in our friends 4WD truck.
Daniel and I will be opening melindas tomorrow from 10-2 with limited menu and just us two working. So please be patient with us. Thank you for understanding and we appreciate your support

**UPDATE** 1/27/26
we made it to restaurant but barely. The side roads are still extremly hazardous. We are hoping that things will improve by tomorrow. At this time, we will remain closed and hope to do deliveries after roads improve.

We are going to venture out tomorrow with our friends 4 wheel drive truck that has agreed to help with food delivery. (If its conducive)
We will keep you posted! But I hope people realize that we will only do deliveries risking our own safety and not our staff!!! Our team has been instructed to stay indoors until it’s safe for them to get out. But, they still need to pay bills just like we do. Bills don’t halt during times like this. Please stay tuned and we sincerely appreciate your support!
