💦 FUN FACT FRIDAY | THERE’S A CREEK UNDER DOWNTOWN?!

Yep…while you’re walking down Central Avenue, there’s water flowing beneath your feet.

Before Bathhouse Row looked anything like it does today, Hot Springs Creek ran openly right in front of the bathhouses.
In the 1880s, the federal government enclosed the creek inside a massive underground masonry arch for sanitation and flood control.
And it’s STILL there.
The arch is about 14 feet wide and 12 feet tall, and Hot Springs Creek continues to flow through it beneath Bathhouse Row and much of Central Avenue.
Even crazier? Soil and sidewalks were built over the arch, creating more usable land along the Row - meaning part of the beautiful downtown we know today was literally built over the creek.
So next time you’re strolling Central Avenue…
there’s a whole creek running underneath you. 🤯
Hot Springs really does have something interesting hiding around - and apparently UNDER - every corner!

AUGUST AGENT OF THE MONTH | DIFFERENCE MAKER

Our August theme was Difference Maker.
And a difference maker isn’t always the person looking for recognition for everything they do. Sometimes, it’s the person who simply shows up.
The one who gives their time. Sees a need and helps. Encourages others. Makes the people around them better just by being there.
Jen Eubanks has consistently done exactly that.
She pours into our local real estate community through her service on multiple Hot Springs Board of REALTORS® committees. She volunteers her time at church, investing in kids and helping them learn about Christ. And she brings that same heart into our office, always willing to help another agent, especially when it comes to marketing.
Jen is someone you can count on to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there when someone needs her.
That's what makes a difference maker so special.

BINGO NIGHT with the White Stone crew! 🎉

A few of us headed out to the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce Bingo Night last night and had the best time!

There were laughs, a few very serious Bingo faces 😂, plenty of almost-wins & our very own Destiny Wilson actually took home a win in one of the rounds! 👏🏼🏆

We love any excuse to get out, support our community & spend a little time together outside the office.

Way to represent, Destiny! 🤍

🎩 FUN FACT FRIDAY | AL CAPONE IN HOT SPRINGS

Apparently, one hotel room just wasn’t enough when Al Capone came to town…

Yep - THAT Al Capone was a frequent visitor to Hot Springs during the city’s infamous gangster era.
When Capone stayed at the Arlington Hotel, he was known to book the entire fourth floor for himself, his associates and bodyguards.
And he wasn’t exactly hiding in his room.
Capone frequented some of downtown Hot Springs’ most popular spots, including the Southern Club, where he was known to play poker, and the Ohio Club, which still stands on Central Avenue today.
Hot Springs had become a getaway for some of the country’s most notorious gangsters - a place where they could enjoy the thermal baths, gamble, visit Oaklawn and apparently take a little break from being…well…gangsters. 😂
So the next time you walk past the Arlington, just think:
Al Capone once rolled into Hot Springs and said, essentially, “I’ll take the whole floor.” 😂

JULY AGENT OF THE MONTH | INDEPENDENCE

Our July theme was Independence.

It’s about ownership.

That’s exactly what Amanda Sullivan has embodied.
