🐦🎸 The Birding Festival of the South, presented by Oaklawn Hot Springs, welcomes nationally acclaimed country singer, Melissa Carper!

Carper plays old school country music that resonates across time and place with a repertoire that weaves together the threads of old-time country, bluegrass, western swing, jazz, and blues that all intertwined to form American country music back in the day.

The Birding Festival of the South will be held October 8 - 10 in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. Melissa Carper will open the Birding Festival of the South on Thursday, October 8 at 6:30PM in the Bridge St. LIVE! Entertainment District, sharing the stage with band Sad Daddy. Carper joins singer/birding advocate Bonner Black and bird-sounds expert Alison Kondler in the initial list of guest celebrities announced for the festival.

Static on Ouachita Ave. might be one of the most creative spaces in Hot Springs. There’s an ever-changing collaborative mural, plus vintage and handmade clothing, jewelry, art, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, records, boomboxes, tinctures… the list goes on. Catch them at Gallery Walk every first Friday, with live music too!
