I grew up camping at Lake Catherine State Park with my family, and it is still one of my favorite places to escape to! Let’s take a run down memory lane and hit all of my favorite spots!🍂🏞️🌳
📍Slunger Creek Nature Trail: A gentle, barrier-free loop (5/8 mile) with a paved surface and benches. It winds alongside Slunger Creek and is ideal for an easy, relaxing walk or jog.
📍Falls Creek Falls at the Falls Branch Trail: An easy hiking trail through the forest that crosses creek tributaries and leads to a small but scenic seasonal waterfall on Falls Creek. The waterfall flows best in wetter periods, and makes a great spot for swimming when conditions allow.
📍Diamondhead QuickStop and Tee Time Cafe: A local café and quick-stop spot located on Catherine Park Road near Lake Catherine, serving burgers, coffee, daily specials, and grab-and-go fare.
