📈 Existing-home sales saw a slight increase in April as housing affordability continued to improve and inventory levels rose nationwide.

According to the National Association of REALTORS®, inventory increased 5.8% month-over-month, giving buyers a few more options while home prices continued modest year-over-year growth.

NAR Chief Economist Dr. Lawrence Yun noted that lower mortgage rates compared to last year, combined with income growth outpacing home price gains, helped provide a boost to the market.

As always, local markets can vary, but national housing trends continue pointing toward a more balanced market environment than we’ve seen in recent years.
