Today was rather productive & quite exhausting. Started with no worker(sick) so left early to stripe Arby's 45 mi away. Arby's was my Dads choice of fast food, but I'm sure God has a better buffet for him in heaven now. Had me a little breakdown , but i have such great memories of my dad & doing things w him that can'tbe erased. Then i was able to finish another new layout that previously had cars in the way. Off to Lowe's for some posts & hardware for a sign install that needs to be done this week. Took a break & actually ate lunch, after all it was my birthday. Came home & printed off 8 banners. 4 more to go! Did up 2 shirts for special order in Augusta. Stopped for supper. Then meet w the night crew so we could stripe more of the town. Left them at midnight so I could get some sleep so I can do it all again tomorrow!
Ahh the joys of owning a business.

We are looking to hire some help for the summer & perhaps longer for the striping and sign business. 90% outdoor work & you need to have to have a license. Please message me so we can talk. Pay is 17-25 at this point. I have picked up more equipment to help get thru from the accident. Thanking God daily for protection.

May is when we are finally able to start striping after a long winter. Much of it is hurry & wait for parking lots to be swept. We'll last night we had one of our regulars & when you're 3.5 hrs away from home you like to get it all done without troubles. Last night was one of those with lots of troubles. Not halfway thru & rain visited. Then at 3.30am in our way home, wildlife interferes. Thank God we came out of this with only bruises
Yes equipment can be replaced but that was the closest I have ever felt where I might be taking my last breath. Please pray for your loved ones when the leave to go to work. Everyone needs to come home.

Dad's common expression was, " It will look good from an airplane!". I never cared for that phrase but what I wouldn't give to hear him say it one more time.

Final UPDATE: Monday 6pm dad went home to be with Jesus. I saw dad many times as a kid growning up in church where dad was raising his hands worshipping Jesus. He is now doing that in person. No more confusion, no more calling me asking me to tell him where he was and me reassuring him that everything was going to be ok. That I will miss. Hug your parents today. My dad has but hrs left here due to his dementia shutting him down. CUSTOMERS, Please bear with me while I spend his final hrs with him. I will not be available for the time being.

Now that snow is gone and parking lots are swept, it's time to start striping. I have lots of work already lined up & I haven't painted a line yet!
This is going to be a busy yr.
Yes, I have put the striping business up for sale. Why, you ask? Well im getting tired, plain & simple. I started striping in '98 and I still have the same customers that I started with. That's a good thing to have.
Mind you, I am still striping until sold & will help the new buyer w training and transfer of customers. Includes 1.35 acres of commercial property(no building), 7+Graco stripers and 2 drivers, gazillion stencils, scarifier, paint, customer list, f350 diesel dually, 8x20 trailer & 25yrs knowledge in the striping business. Current customers for this yr are all in Maine. Will train & pass on my 25yrs of knowledge in the striping business. If interested you must contact via messenger or call me.
