🛥️ Hi there, friend.

Often times while staying here, you get a beautiful sunset.

Other times, you get a rainbow after a Louisiana storm.

…and every now and then, when you need it the most…you get to have both at the very same time.

Maybe this is my little way of reminding you that even after a storm, something beautiful comes.

…and I don’t just mean the Louisiana storms.

I mean those storms of life too, dear one.

I think maybe you needed that reminder today. ❤️

Come sit with me awhile. I’ll even leave the light on for you. 🛥️

Get here fast…then take it sleaux.

Sometimes the craziness of life can lead us to a weary and heavy laden state. Google can’t solve this. A TV series won’t do. There is no friend, in this case, who will have the perfect advice.

Dear one, you need a moment. Perhaps you need a place where you can have many moments.

Quiet moments.

A sweet pondering with many slow deep breaths.
….maybe even a spiritual moment that will lead you to the rest your burdened heart so desires.

…a place where the noise gets quiet enough and the worries of life are not allowed. …a place where your soul can finally hear itself again.

…a place where the sky meets the water. A place where between the bayou, the sunsets, the wildlife and doing absolutely nothing that needs doing…

…you may be able to quiet your soul enough to finally find rest.

I’ll be here when you need it. ❤️🛥️

This is a place where the most important thing is…
Get here fast…then take it sleaux.

🛥️ Psst…..Hey….you.

Yes……you.

The one who’s been holding everything together for everybody else.

I wonder when the last time was that somebody told you it’s okay to be tired?

You don’t have to fix anything tonight.

You don’t have to BE anyone or anything to anybody tonight.

…just come sit with me.

There’s a chair by the bayou, a soft evening sky, and sweet water that doesn’t care how much you accomplished today…or how much you checked off your list.

Bring that tired heart of yours and set it down here for a while.

And maybe, between the pink sky and the quiet water, you’ll remember…

…there is still so much peace in this world, and honey, it has your name on it.

Sometimes you just have to get outside the noise long enough to hear it.

I’ll be waiting. ❤️🛥️

Get here fast…then take it slow.

Most folks wait for the sunshine.

But, not me. …I don’t mind the rain one bit.

It is such a relief from our summer heat, but truth be told… I think our Gulf Coast rain makes my colors shine even brighter. …then there’s that soothing sound of hypnotizing rain drops.

Maybe we’re a little alike in this way.

Sometimes it’s only in the midst of the rainy seasons where the most beautiful parts of us are revealed.

Whenever you’re ready to trade the noise for a little peace down the bayou…

I’ll be waiting. 🛥️

🛥️Every now and then, something so beautiful happens.

The bayou wraps herself in the same colors I wear.

My chairs, the sky, and the water…for a few moments, we’re all telling the same story, in unison.

I know it’s hard to believe in this world we live in, but it’s true- Peace still exists.

Come find me when you’re ready.

I’ll leave the light on for you. ❤️🛥️

Well…

🇺🇸I see everyone else already has plans for America’s 250th birthday.

For me on the other hand?

I’m still sitting here by the bayou…waiting on my people. 🛥️

Truth be told, I kind of like it that way.

…because the people who end up here aren’t looking for bigger crowds.

They’re looking for a nice slow deep breath.

A promising sunrise. …a quiet sunset. …a little dock to sit on. …and especially a place where nobody expects anything from them for a little while.

If that’s what your heart’s been longing for…

I’ve still got room for you this Independence Day weekend.

Get here fast…then take it slow.

Hey there friend. As of this moment, I still have availability for America’s 250th birthday weekend. 🇺🇸

I spend a lot of time looking at this sign.

It points toward places thousands of miles away. Oregon. France. Illinois. UK.

Sometimes I have to just smile because folks travel all that way just to come sit beside a little bayou and slow down. Breath slower, let the troubles of life stay behind at the bridge.

Maybe that’s because what we’re really searching for isn’t a place.

Perhaps it’s something we can FEEL.

If you’ve been needing a little peace, I’ll be right here waiting by the water.

Get here fast, then take it slow. 🚤

I see you, baby.

Sometimes life just gets… loud.

It goes faster than it should…and weighs a whole lot more than you expected.

And the truth is…I know you don’t even realize how much you’ve been carrying.

…until you finally set it down.

Honey, down the bayou, things tend to settle.

The water moves slow as it meets the sky…

…and in the middle of it all…there you are.

And I want you to know this—

There is still so much good ahead for you.

There’s a deep, steady kind of peace just waiting on you.

Come find it.

I’ll be right here to lead the way. 🛥️

You ever step outside for “just a minute”…

…and realize you’ve been holding everything in way too long?

Yeah…

I see that a lot.

Folks come out here thinking they just need a break….but what they really need is a place where they don’t have to be strong for a little while.

Where the water’s still…the sky’s quiet…and nobody’s asking anything from you.

I’ve seen it many times- somewhere in that silence, you finally feel like yourself again.

I see you darling.

And when you’re ready to let it go…

I’ll be right here. 🛥️

Sometimes the fog isn’t outside…

…it’s in you.

Heavy and loud. …blinding everything in front of you.

And no matter how hard you try…you just can’t see your way out of it.

Breaths get shorter, chest gets tight.

But down da bayou…we don’t panic in the fog.

Because we know something—that sun’s coming.

And when it does…

…it doesn’t ask and it surely doesn’t wait. It cuts straight through all of it. …in an instant.

I see you, baby.

When you’re ready to leave it all at the bridge and come find your sunrise….

…to let those breaths get deeper and slower…to let that chest loosen….

I’ll be waiting. 🛥️
