MEET SHAWNY MARMANDE BURGARD 🍎

I was raised in Terrebonne Parish, graduated from Vandebilt Catholic High School, and my husband, Ross Burgard, and I built our lives and raised our family here. Together, we have five children who were educated in the Terrebonne Parish School System & I’m also a proud grandmother!! Giving back has always been important to me. I’ve had the privilege in the past of serving on the Board of Terrebonne Parish Recreation District 10, and Ross and I currently co-chair The Bayou Dularge Knights of Columbus Cajun Fair. Through these experiences, I’ve seen what can happen when people are willing to show up, listen, and work together! That is a big part of why I’m running for Terrebonne Parish School Board, District 7.

I’m not a politician. I’m a wife, mother, grandmother, business owner, and lifelong member of this community. I care deeply about its future, and I believe our schools are one of the most important places we can invest our time, attention, and resources!
