This is going to be a very long, very personal post.
The Cliff’s Notes version is Katie sold her house! We are so excited for her and thankful that she chose me to represent her.
The emotional post begins now:
I met Katie at the Y. I started working at the Y when Holly was 2. Katie was mostly in the pool area. I was in the child watch/front desk area.
I got this crazy idea (thanks to a suggestion from my boss at the Y) that we should have art classes in Court House. I asked three ladies to be a part of it: Amanda List, Amanda Foy, and Katie Kasberg. Thankfully, they all said yes. We started Creative Court house in the dining room of Katie’s house: 622 Washington Ave.
On Monday, we closed on that sale. I got a little emotional when I did a final walk through, thinking of how our lives were then and all of the twists and turns that happened along the way to bring us to the present.
I am so thankful that Katie is my friend and she trusted me to get this house sold for her. There are a lot of mixed emotions but I would say that she can breathe easier now.
My personal life was a complete mess most of the time that the house was on the market, under contract, that buyer could not perform so we went back up on the market, and went back under contract on my birthday. Katie stuck by me both personally and professionally. We have been through a lot and we still find each other, time and time again. Katie supported me in the very beginning of my career, as well, by referring her family to me. I have helped her sister buy and her brother buy and sell. Thank you for believing in me, Katie. I couldn’t ask for a better friend!
