Here is a REAL text I got from my client this week. If you listen to the news and read online, many homeowners like my seller are concerned about the market. The truth is buyers are still buying and sellers are still selling regardless of interest rates and low inventory. If you’re working with a skilled agent like myself that can market your property correctly, you can still get multiple offers. Most sellers are sitting on a lot of equity they’ve gained in the last few years and don’t even know it. This week marks yet another successful year for me in real estate! Not many people dream of becoming a realtor when they grow up, but I was that kid obsessed with houses. I would beg my mom to take me to The Bellaire Home Show every year to see the beautiful new builds around our neighborhood. I would get lost in the small details of the homes while my family was impatiently waiting for me to get in the car. In high school, I asked to shadow Cindy Blustein, who has always generously offered her guidance and support, for a career day and got my first look into KW. My professional life may have detoured for a few years, but my want to help others never strayed. I am going into this new year energized by the support of my community and use my real estate expertise to help my clients!

Throughout Houston there are some great new construction options in a variety of price ranges. My first time buyer client just went under contract on a new build! So why do some buyers choose new construction over resale?
1. It’s move in ready. With higher interest rates and home prices, many buyers are using the majority of their money towards the down payment. By buying new, you are guaranteed that you will not need to immediately repair the home and update it.
2. They have builder warranties. Depending on the type and timeline, the builder will cover the cost of any issues that arise while under warranty.
3. They have builder incentives. Most builders will have incentives for buyers to use their in house lenders and team. This allows home buyers to save on closing costs, appliances, or lower their interest rate.
Whether you’re looking for a way to save on your upfront home costs or a house that doesn’t need updating, a new construction home may be the best option for you! If you have any questions, I’d love to help!

These past few days I had the privilege to attend Elevate, a business and personal development event with top real estate agents from across the country. I attend a daily mastermind with these same agents on ZOOM, and it was so awesome to finally meet in person. It’s hard to put into words all I got out of these jam packed days. I love what I do, and I can’t wait to take what I’ve learned to help better serve my clients.

As we round out 2022, I am humbled when I think about all of the exciting life events I was a part of as a realtor. I helped a couple find a home for their growing family. I helped another move to Houston to be closer to loved ones. A client needed a yard for their dog, so I found that too! I am grateful for all the clients that allowed me to help them find their home and do what I love! Happy New Year!
