Harris County Appraisal District just released the 2022 property tax values. According to their 3/17/22 press release, residential property values have gone up about 15-30% and 95% of residential properties will increase an overall average of more than 20%.
If you have a homestead exemption, your appraised value (the value on which your taxes will be calculated on) cannot exceed the lessor of (1) This years market value or (2) Last years appraised value, plus 10% plus the value of any new improvements added in the previous year.
