“36 Years of Growth, Grit, and Gratitude”
Today, I celebrate 36 years of life. It’s not just another birthday; it’s a milestone—a chance to pause and reflect on everything I’ve learned, endured, and become.
Turning 36 feels significant. It’s not the wide-eyed ambition of your 20s or the discovery of your early 30s. It’s deeper. It’s about becoming. At this stage, society often tells you what you should be as a man in your 30s—established, successful, stable. Those expectations can feel like both a guide and a weight. But I’ve learned that life isn’t about checking off boxes. It’s about living your story with persistence and intention, no matter what the world says.
The past decade brought its share of adversity. I’ve stumbled and fallen, faced challenges I never saw coming, and carried the weight of my mistakes. But every setback has taught me something invaluable: resilience is a skill, not a trait. You build it with every struggle, every hard choice, and every moment you choose to keep going.
Growth isn’t linear, and it’s rarely easy. But the mistakes? They’ve been my greatest teachers. They’ve shown me who I am, stripped away my ego, and guided me toward becoming someone stronger, more empathetic, and more intentional.
At 36, I know the importance of persistence—not just in chasing goals but in staying true to myself, even when the path is unclear. I’ve learned to be intentional with my time, my energy, and the people I choose to surround myself with. Life is too precious to be lived on autopilot.
To anyone reading this: if you’re in the trenches, questioning where you’re headed, or feeling the pressure of expectations—keep going. Growth takes time. Healing takes patience. And success, whatever that means to you, takes persistence.
I’m stepping into this new year of life with gratitude for the lessons I’ve learned and excitement for the ones still to come. Here’s to being a work in progress, to overcoming, and to living boldly.
Cheers to 36! 🥂 Let’s make it one for the books.
