The past week has been a bit of a blur, and it was capped off by a beautiful ballet performance on Mother’s Day with Bayou City Ballet at the Match. I’m so proud of Grace! The endless hours of rehearsal mean a lot of sacrifice, but the joy it brings her makes it all worthwhile. She loves dance, and she loves her studio, and I’m so glad that she has found this special place.

Earlier in the week, she won awards in both band (flute) and creative writing. Her pride was huge, and my mama heart was (and is) beyond full.

And speaking of moms, everything I know about motherhood I learned from my own. Spending the day with my mom was an absolute gift that can’t be beat. I am so, so grateful. 💙

HC’s production of Les Miserables has blown us away from the start. We are so thankful to our family and friends who have shown up to support Liam. This has been a tremendous experience for our theater-loving kid, and we are super proud!!

Last show is tonight! We’ll all be a little sad when it’s over. ❤️

This weekend closed out a couple of really busy months for our two performing arts kids! We started with Liam’s fall band concert, and then Grace’s fall showcase for ballet in October. Liam performed in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown - six shows, all fantastic in early November. December kicked off with Liam’s Christmas concert (saxophone), followed by Grace’s band concert (flute).

And finally, this weekend, Grace performed in two Nutcrackers (both as a rat, her personal favorite, and a flower). Bayou City Ballet partnered with Alief ISD and Ballet West to put on this incredible show, and I am SO proud of all the hard work that went into it.

We’ll be glad for some quieter evenings and weekends this holiday season. Most importantly though, we’ve loved watching our kids do the things they love. 💕

Special thanks to our family and friends who have supported them (and us) these past couple of months!! We appreciate it more than you know!

Late post alert. Happy 15th, Liam! You are still our favorite rock star. You’re also our favorite Lego builder, saxophone player, theater kid, guitarist, and all around happy, thoughtful, inquisitive human.

Stay awesome! And in the midst of all the craziness of high school, homecoming and everything else, remember how much we love you. You make me proud, dude! 💙

And so it begins! Liam started his Freshman year on Monday at Houston Christian High School, and Grace started her first day of Middle School (6th grade) at Grace School this morning. 💙

We had a great, quick trip to San Antonio this weekend! We used to visit this resort every summer when the kids were really little. It was a totally different experience this time around. (And I’m not complaining)! 😜💕

Another closing! I loved this home from the moment I toured it.

Congratulations to my sellers who sold their beautiful Briargrove Park property on Monday. They cherished this house - not to mention the street and their neighbors.

The buyers are thrilled to call this home their own, and I know that makes my clients really happy. It's been a long process mixed with an international move for my sellers, and I feel truly fortunate to have been a part of it.💙

Congratulations to my clients who sold their stunning home in Briargrove Park last week! They poured so much into this fabulous property, but they're ready and excited for their next journey.

I'm sad to see them leave the neighborhood but so glad for their family, and I know the buyer for their property is thrilled to call this home her own.

Wishing this girl the happiest of birthdays!! She spent the day doing what she loves - dancing with Bayou City Ballet. And she finished it with japanese bbq and s’mores - plus some pool time!

Grace, you are brave, funny, big-hearted and incredibly thoughtful. We love your passion for ballet and all things Disney, and we hope your 11th birthday is the best one yet!

Keep being uniquely you, because you’re awesome. ♥️ (But maybe slow down time a bit because it’s hard for my mom heart to handle). 💕 We love you!!
