Hi, my name is Terri Lockler. I was born and raised in Houston. This has allowed me to build a network and form close relationships with local businesses and people. Just a little story as to how I got into real estate. Before being a Realtor, I sold life insurance for my parent's agency traveling all over Texas and Louisiana. I found myself being on the road solo. Too much for my taste since I wa

s the family's social butterfly. This is when I decided to take a position in property management at an exciting new development in Midtown. It was fast-paced and fun. After the lease-up was complete, I decided I loved working with people and loved real estate. I wanted to further my career as an agent, so I enrolled myself at Champions School of Real Estate. About a month later, after taking the required classes, I passed the state exam and became a real estate agent in early 2000. The fun part about real estate is that no two days are the same. Most of my career has been working in the realm of relocation. Helping International and out-of-town clients move to the Houston area by buying, selling, leasing, and locating apartments. It has taught me to be a very detailed and organized Realtor. Many of my clients relied heavily on my knowledge of real estate and the Houston Metropolitan area as everything was new to them in Houston. I learned that I needed to educate and guide them in every step. I have had several clients say that they wished they could download all that information from my brain so they could refer to it later. I have always wanted and still want to make sure the process, no matter the type of real estate transaction, is less stressful and fun for my clients. Make the process as smooth as possible. Helping them reach their dreams of homeownership or finding the perfect place that they want to call home. As for me, I live in the Heights area. I love walking and riding along the bike trails through the Heights, along the Bayou, and Memorial Park. Lil Dude, my poodle-mixed pup, is usually with me. He requires much attention and at least two long walks a day. Since I am out and about so much with Dude, I have met many other dog owners who have become friends and clients. I think it is important to evolve and adapt to changing markets to stay relevant. Stay on trend with forever-changing technology. Keep up to date with the new rules and regulations of real estate. All the while maintaining integrity and doing what is right and what is best for my clients.
