Houston real estate market update: buyers are still active, but contracts are moving slower.

According to the latest HAR Weekly Activity Snapshot for the Houston MSA, new listings increased 2.7% year over year and showings jumped 8.7%, showing that buyers are still out touring homes and watching the market closely.

At the same time, pending listings dropped 5.9% and closings declined 5.3%, which tells us one thing clearly: buyers are interested, but they are being more selective.

What does this mean for Houston sellers?

Pricing, presentation, preparation, and exposure matter more than ever. A strong launch strategy can help your home stand out, especially when buyers have more inventory to compare.
